WHAT


On Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Noon ET, Konica Minolta will host the 2009 Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic. In just its third year, the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic has become the traditional start of the lacrosse season for the game's growing fan base. This year, it does so with a new matchup - Duke vs. Maryland - to combine with Johns Hopkins vs. Princeton. In its first two years, the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic attracted crowds of 20,180 (2007) and 19,165 (2008).


When the event starts, there will be 150 very special guests at

M&T Stadium in Baltimore there to watch the games, thanks to the generosity of Konica Minolta.


50 event tickets have been donated to the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes? (CSAH). This is the second sporting event Konica Minolta - along with the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl - has donated game tickets to the CSAH, the leading nongovernmental organization providing emergency financial aid to severely wounded troops from Iraq and Afghanistan and their families, as part of its continued efforts to support local communities in which the company maintains a presence.


50 event tickets will be given to the Gardenville Gators of the Baltimore City Youth Lacrosse Club. Established in 2003, the Baltimore City Youth Lacrosse Team started with one team, and today has grown into a championship program with more than 250 players on 10+ teams. In addition to being continually taught the fundamentals of Lacrosse along with the competitiveness of the sport, the Gardenville Gators instruct their players about the importance of sportsmanship in sports and in life.


50 event tickets will be donated to the lacrosse team at the KIPP Ujima Village Academy. KIPP Ujima Village Academy is the highest-performing school serving middle grades in Baltimore City and one of the highest-performing schools in Maryland. The lacrosse program was started in 2008, providing the participants with the experience of a competitive team sports atmosphere and a world beyond their daily environment.

TICKET INFORMATION


Ticket prices for 2009 will be $10 each for groups of 10 or more, $20 each for Lower Level reserved seats and $30 each for Club Level seats. All seats for the event are reserved and lacrosse fans are urged to make their plans early to reserve the best seats in the house.
