2013-02-06 20:27:12 - Seattle metro area Honda dealership will donate a portion of the proceeds from every vehicle sold in February to its local Red Cross chapter.

EVERETT, Wash. – This February marks the 37th anniversary of Klein Honda, the oldest family owned and operated Honda dealership in the Seattle metro area. In honor of that historic milestone, Klein Honda will donate $100 for every vehicle sold in February to the Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross.

“Klein Honda wouldn’t be here for 37 years without the support of the community around us,” said Steve Klein, owner and founder of Klein Honda. “That’s why we pride ourselves on giving the best customer service and giving back to the community.”

In 1976, a 23-year-old Klein opened the doors to Klein Honda, which was the 123rd Honda automobile dealership to open in the United States. As the business has

grown since that time, the dealership has seen three major upgrades to build larger, expanded facilities. One of those expansions occurred in 2007 when the dealership moved its used car operation to its own facility right across the street. Since 2005, the dealership has been recognized as American Honda Motor Company's No. 1 certified dealership in the Northwest.

Klein has run the dealership from day one strictly by its motto, “A Friend of the Family.” It is for that reason that Klein Honda has given its support to numerous non-profit organizations in the community throughout its history, including Providence Regional Medical Center, the Boys and Girls Club, United Way, YMCA and the Wounded Warrior Project.

This isn’t the first time Klein Honda has chosen to give back to the Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross. All proceeds from the dealership’s annual charity golf tournament benefit the organization, as well. This year’s tournament, the third annual, was held on September 19, 2012, at the Walter Hall Memorial Golf Club, just two miles from the dealership.
