Kingsburg California - February 15th 2007 - The Kingsburg chapter of the SSR-Club is planning for a large gathering in conjunction with the 13th Annual Kingsburg Car Show on April 20th through April 22nd 2007. This

is the 3rd Annual SSR rally hosted by a local Chevrolet SSR owner.

The SSR-Club cannot enter the Pre-'72 Kingsburg Car Show - as their vehicles are too new, but are allowed to display their retro designed SSR's (Super Sport Roadsters) - a hard top convertible Chevrolet truck. The Chevrolet SSR was in production for four (4) model years (2003 - 2006) and production ended March 17th 2006. A total of 24,114 SSR's were built. Fifty (50) SSR owners from throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas and British Columbia-Canada are planning to attend this event.

The SSR-Club of Kingsburg schedules a full weekend of events that begin on Friday. April 20th. A BBQ hosted by Keith Cox of the local chapter will be held at Kingsburg's Downtown (Coffee-Pot) Park for the early arriving SSR's. On Saturday April 21st, the SSR-Club proudly displays their vehicles during the Kingsburg Car Show and then a membership dinner will be held at Cattlemens restaurant in Selma that evening. The weekend culminates on Sunday, April 22nd with the SSR-Club's 'Roadster Run to Ragged Point- - a drive over to the Central California Coast for lunch at the Ragged Point restaurant. The SSR's will then head South on Highway 1 to tour the coastline and visit the communities of Cambria, Cayucos, Morro Bay and on down to Solvang.

Local Chevrolet SSR owners are highly encouraged to attend all or part of the weekend's activities and may contact Keith Cox at kwhopper@sbcglobal.net for more information and to be added to the reservation lists.
