Kimora Lee Simmons, former wife of hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, is the latest star to join the PETA movement.

To show just how serious she is about her fur-free commitment, Kimora's new Barbie doll comes with a faux fur coat. A bid to show young girls they can look "fabulous" without skinning animals.

The doll is also equipped with a faux personality

to mirror Kimora's likeness.

Despite the hush-hush attitude of the principal players, there is every indication that the "extreme fashion" clothing line, Heatherette, has run its course.

The label started by former Club Kids, Richie Rich (R) and Traver Rains (L), is currently having problems due to creative as well as personal differences between the two divas.

Rich is reportedly going to be relocating to Los Angeles to pursue music and television projects.

The over-the-top garb caters to daring musical artists like Iggy Pop, the Scissor Sisters or their muse - "the world's most famous transsexual" - Amanda LePore. The label's most ardent admirers, New York City club kids, simply can't afford the sartorial madness.

Seeing that the duo was absent from fashion week in January, and they no longer have a publicist, we believe the rumors must be true. I guess it won't long before we see Amanda LePore waiting tables at Lucky Cheng's in the East Village.
