CHARLIE CHAPLIN's actress granddaughter KIERA has cancelled her wedding to COUNT ALEXANDER DE BASSEVILLE after he was arrested in the US for conspiracy to distribute the drug ecstasy.
Chaplin, 23, has been dating the French financier - her partner in production company Limelight Films - for six years and stood by him after he suffered a stroke last year (05).
But she immediately called off their nuptials after the arrest.
A close friend, stylist MOHIEB DAHABIEH, says, "This is a very difficult time for Kiera. She has absolutely nothing to do with the charges and just wants to move on with her life now."
