Caesar Systems :
has extended its reach with executive advisory services for the global upstream oil and gas industry, and Ken Blott :
has joined Caesar Systems as Chief Strategy Officer to lead the company in developing an expanded palette of strategy formulation, business planning, and decision making information capabilities. He joined Caesar from Royal
Dutch Shell, where his most recent positions were vice president of strategy and business planning for Shell Unconventional Resource Energy (SURE), and senior advisor to the Shell Unconventional Oil Group. His principle areas of expertise include strategy, portfolios, risk, integrated economic evaluation and change management implementation.
“The upstream oil and gas industry has entered a new era of complexity in the twenty-first century, faced with increasing challenges and risks as it pursues more difficult resource accumulations, higher costs and increasingly complex integrated projects,” Ken Blott said. "Exploration and production (E&P) companies share an urgent need to move faster on opportunities, with better decision making information, while finding ways to increase the predictability in their business planning,” Ken Blott added.
Caesar Systems offers an executive advisory service to forward-thinking upstream E&P companies, combined with quality assurance, peer assistance, talent mentoring, skill training and collaborative team processes for E&P staffs, enabled and enhanced by the PetroVR® decision technology platform. “The PetroVR collaborative platform provides an integrative business simulation capability that is utterly required for E&P executives to be able to move quickly with greater predictability,” Ken Blott said.
The expanded array of executive as well as staff-level advisory and training services now offered by Caesar Systems is designed to customize and streamline E&P company processes to substantially improve decision making information flow, analysis times and make better and more consistent decisions. “Caesar Systems is uniquely qualified to help its E&P clients leverage integrated business simulation of opportunities, with the people and change processes to make it happen,” Mr. Blott concluded.
“The company and our clients will benefit enormously from Ken Blott’s leadership,” said Victor Koosh, chief executive officer. “We are navigating an unprecedented period of market volatility where fluctuations occur now in less time than it once took to make large decisions, which means decisions tend to be out of date before they are made.”
“The experience Ken Blott brings to the table, drawing from almost 30 years in both the technical and the commercial arenas in his time at Shell, helps focus our executive problem solving with clients on the integrative business development, decision making information, and change management processes they need to move faster with confidence,” said Mr. Koosh.
