Kaplan Career Institute's Detroit Campus Hosts Graduation Ceremony for 249 Students

Kaplan Career Institute's Detroit campus held a graduation ceremony on Friday, June 27, for 249 students. The ceremony took place at 6:30 p.m. at Cobo Hall, One Washington Blvd. # 401, Detroit. Al Allen, reporter for MyFox Detroit, was the featured keynote speaker.

Students were recognized for earning diplomas in one of three programs in the allied health field. Upon graduation,

students are eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state. According to the Michigan Employment Forecasts, a report by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth, Bureau of Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 34 percent and pharmacy technician positions by 16 percent from 2004 to 2014.

'I am very proud of our graduates,' said Lisia Moore, executive director of Kaplan Career Institute's Detroit campus. "Many faced and overcame extreme obstacles to achieve their goals."

The Kaplan Career Institute Detroit campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Careers Schools and College of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
