KAHRAMAA constitutes committee for Smart Network plan

2013-02-25 07:27:46 - The six- member committee will be headed by Eng. Ali Al- Ali. The committee will study the deployment strategy and suggest ways and means to implement the progressive transfer of distribution networks.

His Excellency Engineer Essa bin Hilal Al-Kuwari, the President of Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA” formed a high level team to look after ongoing Smart Network project for the Electricity and Water sectors.

The six- member committee is headed by Eng. Ali Al- Ali. Conservation and Energy Efficiency Department Manager. The committee will study the current situation and suggest an action plan to implement the progressive transfer to smart networks.

The committee, based on its recommendations, will submit a thorough report pertaining to the general strategy of KAHRAMAA in implementing the ambitious project.

Qatar General Electricity and Water Cooperation “KAHRAMAA” is developing the intelligent solutions from network management to distribution, aiming the high reliability on power and water in the future.

The

project comes within KAHRAMAA plans and strategy to develop electricity and water networks to cope with the development the State witnesses.


The Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) is a state owned corporation funded fully by the State of Qatar. KAHRAMAA has the privilege of being the sole transmission and distribution system owner and operator (TDSOO) for the electricity and water sector in Qatar.

Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA” was established in July 2000 in terms of Law # 10 to regulate and maintain the supply of electricity and water to customers. Since its inception, KAHRAMAA has operated as an independent corporation on a commercial basis.
