Joan A. Schuller has been named General Manager for the North American region of Dow Coating Materials, the global architectural and industrial coatings business of The Dow Chemical Company (Dow). In her role, Schuller is responsible for setting the business strategy and leading the North American Leadership Team. A 17-year veteran of the company, Schuller most recently served as Regional

General Manager, Packaging and Building Materials (PBM), Asia Pacific, where, in addition to her general management duties, she was responsible for setting strategy and optimizing the division’s regional business model.

Her career with the company began when she joined the former Rohm and Haas Company (acquired by Dow in 2009) in 1993 as a project engineer after graduating from Lehigh University. She went on to hold positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing, engineering, marketing and sales management primarily within the Architectural Coatings Business. In 2004, she moved to the company’s Asia Pacific Region where she served as Regional General Manager for Packaging and Building Materials, as noted above.

Ms. Schuller earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1993 and an MBA in Finance from Temple University in 1999.

She and her family reside in Blue Bell, PA.
