Jesús Alcázar will present about “Implementation of Flow Technologies in Drug Discovery” at the Drug Design & Medicinal Chemistry Conference, to be held May 8-9, 2014 in Berlin, Germany.
Enhanced chemistry is a key aspect of drug discovery, as it allows chemists access to complex chemistry and novel chemical space. Novel technologies are essential to enhanced chemistry; however, implementing them in medicinal chemistry labs is challenging because they must demonstrate a measurable improvement over already-known procedures.
Alcázar, who is currently a Senior Principal Scientist at Janssen Research and Development, is involved in the implementation of novel technologies in drug discovery in Toledo and in collaboration with other J&J sites worldwide. He will share about how an H-CUBE hydrogenation reactor was successfully
implemented as a first approach to flow technologies. He will discuss its impact on drug discovery and the collaborations with external partners to achieve this success.
Alcázar and other leaders in the field will gather at the Drug Design & Medicinal Chemistry conference to discuss advances in other areas, such as target classes, computational chemistry, and much more.
