My curiosity was piqued when I got the invitation to watch Jeff Goldblum and his band play jazz at Aqua Lounge in Beverly Hills. I had never heard of his foray into music and went in with no expectations - Although, I must confess that Keanu Reeves, Eddie Murphy, Jared Leto and Russell Crowe with their so-called bands came into mind...

I'm no aficionado of jazz and can't give technical terms to describe his sets, but the syncopated beats made for a nice backdrop to last night's very social humdrum.

I met at least five actresses - one named Dana is going to be in the pilot of 90210. I also met a rocker chick bartender who

moved out to L.A. six years ago and instantly became the girlfriend of one of the Nine Inch Nails. Another interesting introduction was to this Swedish woman who runs some kind of record/music publishing company that's responsible for bringing Eurotrash throbs to discos stateside.

I went with a legitimate film director associate/friend of mine who was very pleased to have made the acquaintance of a blond, big-boobed porn-star. Goes to show that it doesn't matter what you do in this town, just as long as it makes you famous.

It was a rather strange evening. At least ten people came up and said they knew me from somewhere... Of course, some of you may already know that I produce feature films under my real name, but it's definitely more fun to go out as a goss monger. I always refer them back to www.GetDaGoss.com , as I'm sure my behind the scenes efforts are not the source of their memory lapse.

When I met Jeff Goldblum, I had no idea what to ask that wasn't rude. I wanted to know the state of his relationship with ex-wife Geena Davis. I wondered how he felt about leaving the big screen to replace Chris "Mr. Big" Noth on television's Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But I wanted most to find out if he was as bizarre as the characters he plays.

Hope you're not too disappointed, but I chose to remain polite and just took a couple snapshots before thanking him.
