www.datalibrium.com - Jaros Technologies is participating in the Walk Now for Autism on Saturday October 11, 2008 in Forest Park in Saint Louis, MO. Walk Now for Autism is Autism Speaks' signature fundraising and awareness event, taking place in communities across the United States, as well as in Canada and the United Kingdom. This walk is powered by volunteers and families with loved ones on the autism spectrum. The event raises awareness about the increasing prevalence of autism and the need for increased research funding to combat this complex disorder.
The company's employees are walking to support autism but more specifically one extraordinary little boy who was diagnosed with this disease just prior to his first birthday. Mary Scheibal,
Director of Finance for Jaros, has a personal interest in Walk Now for Autism. Mary's nephew who recently turned 8 years old is autistic. "According to Mary, 1 out of 150 children are diagnosed with autism. Research money is needed to help autistic children lead productive lives." Jaros is also matching any funds their employees raise. "Our company has responsibilities to our community and to helping others," said Paul Scheibal, CEO of Jaros. "This is one of the ways we are helping others."
We encourage other companies to get involved in good causes such as the Walk Now for Autism.
