KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) - Jamaica has ordered a Spanish company to demolish part of a hotel project under construction because its height makes it hard for planes to land at the nearby Montego Bay airport.
Prime Minister Bruce Golding said Thursday that the fourth floors on three buildings were not included in blueprints. But RIU

Hotels & Resorts said it had submitted revised plans for three buildings of four stories each and received approval.
Golding has given RIU 28 days to comply with the government order.
«The government will not tolerate this blatant violation, nor will it entertain any request for breaches to be regularized,» he said.
Golding also ordered an investigation into alleged corruption among officials in St. James Parish Council, which he said approved construction of the 700-room property.
