2013-03-19 11:24:50 - BANGALORE (India) Mar. 13, 2013: - iWave Systems Technologies, a leading innovative embedded product engineering services company, has launched a new Qseven System-on-Module (SOM), operating up to 1.35GHz, based on the Sitara™ AM389x ARM® Cortex™-A8 and the DaVinci™ DM816x video processors from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI).

In just a short time, iWave has been very successful in bringing to market the highly integrated, high-performance, low-power and low-cost Qseven SOM, which is ideal for a variety of applications such

as network and communication processing, industrial automation and human machine interface, interactive point-of-service kiosks and more.
The Sitara AM389x processor is pin-to-pin compatible with the DaVinci DM816x generation of video. The processor is equipped with SGX530 3D graphics engine and dual simultaneous 1080p display engine for a rich user interface.

• 128MB NAND Flash
• On-board MicroSD slot
• 230-pin QSEVEN Edge Connector Interface
• Gigabit Ethernet
• HD Video IN/OUT Ports

iWave has also designed the Qseven-compatible carrier card for evaluating the features of TI’s Sitara AM389x and DaVinci DM816x processors.

The development kit consists of 1GB DDR3, Gigabit Ethernet, USB2.0 Host, Mini PCIE Connector for 3G/Wi-Fi Module, CMOS Camera, SATA 2.0, 800x480 - RGB 7'' LCD with Resistive Touch and a Linux 2.6.37 OS, which enables prototyping the application in the shortest timeframe.
