Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries around the world, has successfully completed a European Union (EU) 10/2011 testing program of over 30 grades of food contact stock shape materials for Quadrant. Within the EU, all plastic food contact materials intended to come into contact with food must comply with the European regulation No. 10/2011.

Quadrant, the global producer of polymer stock shape materials and solutions for food processing and packaging, aerospace, electronics, chemical processing, life sciences and more, selected Intertek as an independent service provider for this critical testing program.

Quadrant's food contact materials products sold as food grade approved have been tested on the stock shape according to the relevant regulations

for intended applications. The successful completion of the product compliance screening program was facilitated through close cooperation between Intertek and Quadrant.

Intertek food contact compliance services provided to Quadrant included overall and specific migration testing according to the relevant European regulations. The testing program was based on product composition data and applications supplied by Quadrant. The test data supports a broad range of applications for these materials as all materials were tested under worst-case scenarios. Explicit information on the materials application and usage can be obtained from Quadrant and are described in their Declaration of Compliance (DoC).
