Industry Veteran Joins IPG in Newly Created Role
New York, NY - February 26, 2013 - Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) today
announced that Martin Skelton has joined the company as Managing Director,
Global Healthcare. In this role, Skelton will be responsible for driving growth
for IPG's multi-agency healthcare clients. He is also tasked with ensuring that
IPG's offering stays ahead of the rapidly changing face of healthcare
communications, is globally integrated, and remains in-sync with the demands
clients are facing today.
Dr. Skelton joins the company immediately and reports to Executive Vice
President Philippe Krakowsky, Chief Strategy and Talent Officer. This is a newly
created position at the holding company, and will be based at IPG headquarters
in New York City. Major IPG healthcare agency networks include Draftfcb
Healthcare, ICC Lowe, and
McCann Health, as well as many specialized agencies.
Skelton was most recently President, Medical Education at Ogilvy CommonHealth
Worldwide. He had been with Ogilvy since 2004, first as head of several medical
communication and medical education offerings in the U.S., and expanding to a
global role in 2009. Prior to that, Dr. Skelton spent a decade at Grey
Healthcare Group in a variety of roles. Dr. Skelton, who is originally from the
UK, holds a PhD in Neurophysiology from the University of Wales, UK and was a
Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Columbia University before joining the agency
world.

Skelton will also be part of the newly-established IPG Healthcare Management
Council, which includes Krakowsky; John Cahill, CEO, McCann Health; Dana Maiman,
CEO, Draftfcb Healthcare; Steve Viviano, CEO, ICC Lowe; and Helene Yan, VP,
Business Strategy, Interpublic. The Council will oversee IPG's holding company
partnerships with healthcare clients, coordinate multi-network strategic
initiatives, and ensure singular connectivity across IPG's major healthcare
networks.
