2008-10-07 14:38:45 - To evaluate big-sized displays for consumers (e.g. tv-sets) INNOVATONSTECHNIK uses now the DTS 1050 - a robot supported automatic measurement station.

The DTS 1050 is a widely automized measuring system to determine the quality of large-size displays in the consumer area (e.g. TV sets). The system evaluates geometrical and optical properties in different spots on the surface of the display.

Measurement is done with a special camera which is placed automatically in front of the test object. To receive reproducible results the

camera is automatically focussed, additionally there are steps of calibration, partly done for each measuring.

According to the application the needed test patterns are fed by a special pc system or a free programmable tv test pattern generator.

Together with the results from further measuring stations, e.g. for color reproduction, power supply, reflexion and image formation time this leads to an objective evaluation of the displays, which can be used by manufacturers for quality control. For customers this can be a help for buying decisions.
