Infoblox Inc., an industry leading developer of network infrastructure automation solutions, today announced that its Network Configuration and Change Management :
(NCCM) solution, Infoblox NetMRI®, has earned Common Criteria certification.
Common Criteria certification is one of the highest internationally recognized set of guidelines for evaluating security features and capabilities of products, and is accepted by 26 countries, including the U.S. government. This certification gives information technology (IT) directors and network managers critical assurance that Infoblox NetMRI meets the most stringent security standards, validated by an independent third-party testing laboratory accredited by the Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSEC).
Infoblox NetMRI plays a critical role in building automation and change control into next-generation networks that are increasingly dynamic due to rising
demands from endpoint growth and strategic IT initiatives like virtualization :

and cloud computing. Like all Infoblox appliances, Infoblox NetMRI automates layers of manual tasks and processes, dramatically reducing the cost and risk of daily network management while improving network availability and security.
“As networks grow they become more expensive and more difficult to manage,” said Yama Habibzai, Infoblox Director of Product Marketing.
“With this certification, IT decision makers can confidently change the economics of network management leveraging NetMRI’s advanced automation capabilities.”
NetMRI proactively monitors real-time network configurations against built-in standards, flags violations and shows the impact of any network change on compliance, performance and overall network health, and speeds resolution of issues. NetMRI finds lurking configuration problems – a common blind spot in most organizations – that can go undetected until performance drags or an audit fails.
Infoblox provides the industry’s most powerful and widely deployed platforms for automating core network services and reducing the level of administration required to keep a network highly available and secure.
In addition to NCCM, Infoblox provides solutions that deliver highly reliable and manageable domain name resolution (DNS), IP address assignment and management (DHCP/IPAM) and network time protocol (NTP), among others.
Common Criteria Boosts Infoblox Certification Achievements
Infoblox NetMRI Common Criteria certification builds on certifications achieved by other Infoblox core network services solutions, including certification of Infoblox’s family of DNS, DHCP and IPAM (DDI) products, including the Infoblox-2000, -1552, -1550, -1050, -550 and -250 running NIOS version 4.3r2 or later, by the Defense Information Systems Agency for Internet Protocol (IP) Version 6 (IPv6) interoperability.
As part of the Department of Defense (DoD) IPv6 Generic Test Plan Version 2.0, this certification is based on testing conducted by the federal government’s Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC).
Both the JITC and common criteria certifications demonstrate Infoblox’s commitment to deliver solutions that meet high quality standards and enable federal government customers to deploy Infoblox products with assurance that government requirements have been met.
