Recent research shows call centre staff often struggle with a multitude of software packages. This confusion can effect customer experiences and impair the effectiveness of employees. Keyboard specialists Devlin Electronics believe they can alleviate the problem. Devlin firmly believe their custom keyboards provide tangible benefits in call centre applications. This belief comes from their years of work with both multinational and niche telecoms companies.
The Devlin KSC-104-610-505 is based on a standard office keyboard with added shortcut macros providing additional functionality. The customer's application demanded additional functionality but did not necessitate additional keys. Devlin designed a simple
colour coded macro system allowing enhanced functionality. In essence; F1, Ctrl F1 and Shift F1, could all provide different macros. The results of these shortcuts were printed clearly on the keyboard. This provides the possibility of 24 extra functions in a simple and easy to use manner, without engineering extra keys into the keyboard.
Should an application require a more detailed solution Devlin have over 30 years experience taking first concepts to finished products. One customer approached Devlin when they required a keyboard which would mirror on screen activity, in both style and function. The KMX-109-100-454 once again features colour coding and custom legends. It also features 5 extra keys not found on a standard office keyboard. These were hot keys for vital applications where a macro shortcut would not be suitable. Further to this the customer specified an integrated pointing device be designed into the keyboard minimising the computer peripherals footprint.
'The extent to which Devlin can provide a custom keyboard is only limited by your imagination.' stated Devlin Group Managing Director, Martin Baker, 'we create revolutionary custom keyboards for our customers that can dramatically increase efficiency with simple and instinctive controls. These benefits will be felt by employees and customers alike.'
