www.HudsonCEP.com - Hudson Clean Energy Partners announced today that solar industry manufacturing veteran Terry Jester has joined the firm as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence.

Hudson Clean Energy Partners announced today that they have hired Terry Jester, one of the global photovoltaic (PV) industry's leaders in commercial manufacturing operations. Ms. Jester joined the firm as of June 2008 and

is collaborating with Hudson investment professionals Daniel Gross and Craig Cornelius in evaluation of investment opportunities in the solar sector.

For over 25 years, Ms. Jester has led efforts to commercialize new manufacturing processes and product designs in the PV industry, including both crystalline silicon and thin film cell and module technologies. Her many achievements include creating one of the first PV module designs that could provide 30 years of reliable operating life, and overseeing solar manufacturing for Siemens, Shell, and Solarworld. Most recently, Ms. Jester led SunPower's $50 million Solar America Initiative research and development project, comprising critical supply chain and product development activities for one of the world's most successful solar companies. She sits on the advisory board of NREL's National Center for Photovoltaics, and has received the U.S. Department of Energy Rappaport Award for outstanding contributions to the PV industry.

Ms. Jester stated, "I am very excited to be joining the Hudson team, where we have a very exciting vision for investing in solar. As it scales and incorporates new manufacturing technologies, the PV supply chain is becoming cost-competitive with conventional generation in many markets. We think the addressable market for PV can be expanded even further - through product designs that address the requirements of different market applications, through use of new materials in the supply chain, and through large-scale production. At Hudson, we will aim to fund and support companies that implement these strategies to become the solar industry's next leaders."

Hudson Founder and Co-Managing Partner Neil Auerbach remarked, "We are delighted to add Terry's tremendous technical depth and managerial capabilities to the Hudson team. We feel fortunate to have Terry on our team, working with Daniel and Craig to guide our investment strategy in this dynamic sector."

"We are passionate about identifying the very best managers in the renewable energy industry," said John Cavalier, Co-Managing Partner. "Terry meets our high bar for management talent and experience, and has already impressed many companies that we've targeted for investment with her knowledge and ability to add value. We are confident that she will be a major asset to Hudson and Hudson's portfolio companies in the PV sector."
