2014-01-31 19:25:14 - Specialist provider HMCA (Hospital Medical Care Association) is now offering highly competitive private medical, breakdown recovery, life extra, cash plans, dental, income protection and travel plans to members of trade and professional groups.
HMCA provides healthcare cover to in excess of 600 organisations, offering three private medical plans – the HMCA Medical Extra Care Plan, HMCA Medical Saver plan and the HMCA Medical Starter Plan.
All plans provide all the benefits of private medical treatment including the surgeon of the member’s choice and a vast selection of private hospitals, enabling the policyholder to choose the most convenient date and place for their operation.
The Medical Extra Care Plan is the most popular policy and provides comprehensive cover for both out-patient and in-patient hospital visits. These include all consultations, investigations, pathology, day-care surgery, physiotherapy, complimentary medicine, X-rays and scans.
For the more budget conscious, the Medical Saver Plan offers all the benefits of the Medical
Extra Care Plan, but for in-hospital treatments only. This includes intensive care and consultant physician fees and even dental care, providing an overnight hospital stay is required.
HMCA has introduced the Medical Starter Plan for new members who have never had private medical cover before, plus those members who already have cover with another provider wanting the peace of mind if they are in hospital overnight or for longer stays.
Its plans represent excellent value for money and the subscriptions are substantially below those available from other medical insurers. HMCA says its subscriptions are highly competitive because of its policy of only providing cover to members of trade and professional associations, whom it considers are more responsible.
Knaresborough-based HMCA, is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and has been providing private medical cover for more than 35 years. It aims to turn all claims around in just 24 hours, subject to the claim form being fully completed and supported with any required documentation.
