2012-01-25 10:20:04 - Hidalgo, the Cambridge based developers of the Equivital mobile human monitoring technologies, demonstrate their latest products to key personnel from the US Army, US Marine Corps and Special Forces across North America, Canada and Western Europe, at Soldier Technology US.

CAMBRIDGE, UK – 20 January 2012 – Hidalgo, Cambridge based developers of the Equivital mobile human monitoring technologies, today announced that the company will be demonstrating their latest products to key personnel from the US Army, US Marine Corps and Special Forces across North America, Canada and Western Europe, at Soldier Technology US.

Experts from Hidalgo will be on hand to display the considerable benefits of mobile human monitoring products to those looking for cutting-edge off the shelf or bespoke-designed soldier systems for both the training field and on the operational battlefield.

Equivital solutions – pioneered by Hidalgo’s team of engineers, scientists and doctors for over 10 years - are being used widely to assess the impact of load, activity, environment

and fatigue on cognitive and physical performance of the individual soldier and collective group.

The new Equivital training solution feeds in to the improvement of the effectiveness of the soldier and the squad by providing actionable information about each soldier and their unit’s collective performance to relevant command personnel. This includes real time information on location, performance and welfare along with comprehensive retrospective analysis capability.

The flagship ‘Equivital LifeMonitor’ was designed in partnership with the US Army Institute of Environmental Medicine and has been tested in both US Army and US Marine Corps field trials.

The newly launched Equivital EQ02 LifeMonitor incorporates a miniaturised body-worn sensor designed on a ‘wear and forget’ principle that senses, records, processes and transmits data from the human body. Hidalgo has also launched its new eqView software for PC, web and mobile so the data can be viewed, analysed and acted upon in real time, along with comprehensive development kits to allow integration into wider soldier system architecture.

The exhibition runs during Soldier Technology US, North America’s soldier systems modernization conference and exhibition from 23-26 January. Attendees will see a working demonstration of the Equivital LifeMonitor EQ02 and eqView, with results projected on to a screen, and experts will be on hand to answer any questions, with further information available to take away.

Visit the Hidalgo booth, #45 at the 2012 Soldier Technology USA show, Crystal City, on 24 January from 0830-1700 and on 25 January from 0830-1630.
