EMTC-Edu’s brand new game draws on classic influences
Over the years connect-the-dots has introduced millions of children to the joy of drawing and coloring. Happy Dots, the new game from developers EMTC-Edu, is a charming, updated interpretation of the tried-and-tested format for children aged 2+.
At the heart of Happy Dots are the amazing visuals of EMTC’s Edu’s graphics team. There are 10 colorful scenarios, and over 70 interesting objects and cheerful animal characters to choose from. The beautiful, hand-drawn illustrations are brought to life through a vivid, energetic color palette and lively animations. The first four scenes are completely free and for $2.99 parents can access the next six.
The gameplay is fresh and simple. Kids choose a scene which brings up a bright, interesting picture with some important
objects missing. Tapping on one of the blank space accesses the dot-to-dot screen which guides them through the process of creating images. Once a picture is finished it’s filled with color and there’s a cute animation.
As with all EMTC Edu apps the gameplay is targeted towards supporting children’s development. Happy Dots concentrates on hand-eye coordination, image and sound recognition and spatial awareness. It’s not all science, though – the game itself is inspired by the amazing artwork and so it’s designed to be as fun and immersive as possible.
Kids and parents can curl up on the sofa and start creating pictures – just watch as even very young children understand what to do almost immediately! Happy Dots is perfect for families to spend quality time together, but it’s also simple enough that children can explore the different themes and complete the pictures by themselves.
Joining the dots has never been more fun – and now kids can learn as they create! It’s time to start connecting those Happy Dots!
