Founded in 2001, Dubai Autism Center is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive non-profit organization in the United Arab Emirates serving children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Their mission is to successfully integrate children with Autism into the community through their holistic approach to intervention and therapies, together with their focused efforts to create social awareness about Autism.
“We strongly believe that Responsible Business is getting hugely important in our
day to day life and that small steps will lead to big changes and big differences. Our team is always on the lookout for new eco-friendly ideas and activities. We are proud to be part of such a great cause and happy to work hand in hand with the Autism Centre”, says Francois Galoisy, General Manager at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City.
Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the broader commitment of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, cultural heritage, employee and children’s rights, health and safety, as well as environmental improvements.
The hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and the corporate international charity organisation supported by the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children all over the world.
Responsible Business has always been a focus point for the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City team, who runs several activities throughout the year to support and raise interest in environmental and community issues.
