Schwartz, an expert in complex investigations, monitoring and compliance, and white-collar crime, to its Financial Services Advisory Board. Mr. Schwartz has over 30 years’ experience managing domestic and international investigations, and formerly served under then-United States Attorney Rudolph Giuliani as Chief of the Criminal Division in the Southern District of New York. The appointment deepens H5’s expertise in the financial services sector and strengthens the company’s regulatory compliance and investigations practices.

Mr. Schwartz has extensive experience as a trial lawyer, corporate advisor, CEO of an internationally recognized investigative and security firm, and expert in complex investigations and prosecutions. He has managed and conducted numerous domestic and international engagements for a wide array of clients in both public and private sectors, including a worldwide review of Hewlett-Packard’s investigative practices and procedures following its pretexting scandal; review of Smith Barney’s compliance with the Independent Research settlement case with approval of the Securities and Exchange Commission; and monitoring of British Petroleum Oil’s North American commodity trading operations.
As the Chief of the Criminal Division in the Southern District of New York, Mr. Schwartz had direct responsibility for overseeing all financial and business fraud, organized crime, and other prosecutions.
He was also a partner in a New York law firm specializing in federal civil and white-collar litigation.
