OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/20/12 -- Today in the Ontario Court of Justice, Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada, as represented by the Minister of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) pleaded guilty to three counts under the Canada Labour Code.

The charges were laid after a boiler exploded on October 19, 2009 at the Cliff Central Heating and Cooling Plant in Ottawa, killing one person and causing minor injuries to three others.

The PWGSC admitted the facts contained in an initial statement of facts that was filed with the Court. Based on this admission, the Court found the PWGSC guilty of all three counts.
