2013-03-17 13:18:58 - As Beautyworld Middle East prepares for a bigger and brighter 2013 edition, international interest continues to build in what has become one of the industry’s most influential trade exhibitions.

With a larger-than-ever presence at this year’s Beautyworld Middle East, American beauty and wellness majors will be sure to make their mark during the three days of the exhibition. Significant growth in US participation ensures there will be 50% more US exhibitors coming to the region for this year’s edition as compared with the 2011 event.

Research firm Euromonitor International, official knowledge partner for Beautyworld Middle East, predicts an overall growth of 2.6% for the US beauty and personal care market this year, compared with a 3.2% increase in 2012, with slower growth anticipated in all of the main product segments. US beauty majors are therefore looking towards emerging markets to ensure their continued growth and development.

According to

organiser, Epoc Messe Frankfurt, the US Pavilion, supported by the US Department of Commerce, will accommodate 32 individual exhibitors, a 16% increase over the previous edition. Furthermore, an additional 8 US companies have signed up for individual participation. The US contingent at Beautyworld Middle East has continued to grow over the years as exhibitors find the trade fair a credible business enhancement platform to grow their business in the wider region.

In addition to the main US Pavilion, Beautyworld Middle East 2013 will also feature a large pavilion representing exhibitors from California. Dedicated to beauty and wellness manufacturers and suppliers from the ‘golden state’, known for its high level of manufacturing in the beauty and wellness segment, the California Pavilion is a debut feature at this year’s exhibition and will occupy close to 200 sqm.

“The continuing confidence being expressed in Beautyworld Middle East by our partners from the US highlights the importance of the exhibition to the development of the international beauty industry,” said Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of Epoc Messe Frankfurt.

“Over the last 16 years, Beautyworld Middle East has brought the global beauty, wellness, fragrance and hair care industries to the growing markets of the wider region. With its expanding international reach Beautyworld Middle East has today achieved a position of major influence in these industry sectors and holds a stake in its ongoing development,” he added.

Featuring a range of herbal and vitamin enriched cosmetics including ranges for skincare and makeup, is Florida-based Palladio. “We plan to introduce our renowned range of herbal products to the wider region through Beautyworld Middle East. Palladio products are created for women who want to look beautiful while using products that are good for their skin, and contain ingredients specifically proven to help protect the skin from the signs of aging. Palladio’s diverse selection of products and shade availability allows women to create the look they desire,” said Phlip Solomon, CEO of Palladio.
Renowned bath and body products manufacturer, Concept II are another member of the US Pavilion looking to generate fresh business leads in more remote parts of the region. Daniel Bittner, Managing Director of Concept II, said: “Our brand has achieved quite a reputation among developed and emerging markets. Our wide range of Body Mists, Moisturizing Hand & Body Lotions, Deodorants, Eau de Toilettes and Perfumes are comparable to any expensive designer brand. We are looking forward to reaching new markets through our participation at Beautyworld Middle East. This is a region which is gaining increasing importance in our growth strategy.”

Beautyworld Middle East 2013 will feature a wide range of international brands, innovations, developments and trends in the industry. The trade exhibition attracts buyers, retailers, distributors and beauty industry professionals from over 100 countries and will take place this year from 28 to 30 May in Halls 1 to 8 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and is currently considering a further expansion.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt, the Beautyworld brand hosts trade shows at various locations around the world.
