FOO FIGHTERS frontman DAVE GROHL was the toast of Australia on Thursday n= ight (21Jan10) - landing a top prize at the country's first Rolling Stone= Awards.

accepted the honour via video link.
Pop star Pink was also among the winners, taking home the coveted Artis= t of the Year prize, and veteran Canadian heavy metal group Anvil was han= ded the Rolling Stone Award.
Many of the prizes went to homegrown talent - Australian musician Sarah= Blasko was crowned Best Female, rockers Temper Trap were named the artis= t to watch, while Powderfinger took home the Best Album trophy and The Dr= ones landed Best Live Act award.
