Print article Print article

2010-03-18 17:04:08 - Green Real Estate Education, a national leader in training the professions in real estate on green initiatives for under $100 will begin a training for PACE programs across the country.

Green Real Estate Education has educated over 6,000 in the real estate arena and in the government sector. Through provider partners, they are on schedule to reach 10,000 by the end of 2010. The company has added a focus that will entail training those who have interest in creating new programs for bringing energy efficiency into the forefront in their communities. "A monumental advancement for real estate professionals, government entities and lenders to understand are Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) programs," states Kerry Mitchell, President of Green Real Estate Education states, The company acknowledges job creation is on everyones mind and still people are out of work. "The PACE program concepts are becoming of interest but people need education." says

Mitchell.

The PACE bond programs are designed to allow property owners to install energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water efficiency projects and repay those costs as a line item on their property tax bill or utility bill (depending on state law and local options).  Over the past few years, there has been a strong push from the federal level to fund energy and energy efficiency programs as part of a national agenda to foster a clean economy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, and create local jobs.  Vital to this process is developing innovative financing solutions that reach broadly across  energy efficiency and low-carbon energy options.

"We want to open doors and support for those who can assist in implementing these programs. says Mitchell. "We will support non profits, for-profits and those who can help to scale this across the US. They will need marketing expertise and we are putting all in place as quickly as possible. Education is the key. We will keep in line with our commitment to not charge more than $100 for each attendee. Green Real Estate Education will conduct webinars, on line and and on site training." The creation of jobs is huge to bring the construction professions back to work. It is a win-win for our country."
