/EINPresswire.com/ JACK MACK IS BACK! Jack Mack & The Heart Attack Horns Sign with SuperStar Records. Lookin' Up! EP Set for Release April 30

What happens when Grammy™, ASCAP and Blues Music Award winning producer and composer Tom Hambridge joins forces with one of America's baddest soul bands? It leads directly to a genuine Soul-Meets-Blues creative collaboration with an EP's worth of relevant, authentic, evocative and soulful songs.

Lookin' Up!, is the leading edge of an inspirational rock 'n' soul

renaissance from Jack Mack & The Heart Attack Horns with songs co-written and produced by award winning veteran writer/producer Tom Hambridge (Buddy Guy, Susan Tedeschi, Delbert McClinton, Shemekia Copeland, B.B. King, NRBQ, etc.) Lookin' Up! is set for release by SuperStar Records on April 30, 2013.

John Heithaus, executive producer of the EP and Hambridge's partner in SuperStar Records, said: "Jack Mack's sweet and funky soul music has earned a critically acclaimed thirty year legacy of success in the business including seven albums, blockbuster movie soundtracks, hundreds of global television appearances and stage performances. Signing the band and inviting our new partners to record and write with us in Nashville proves that awesome musical synergy is alive and well!"

Lookin' Up! features vocalist extraordinaire, Mark Campbell, acknowledged the world over as one of the premier blue-eyed soul vocalists. Heithaus, Campbell, guitarist Andrew Kastner and saxman Bill Bergman co-wrote two tracks with Hambridge. Kastner and Bergman served as associate producers on three of the EP's tracks. Jack Mack's legendary Wall Of Soul horn and rhythm sections contributed world-class performances as well.

The team also engaged notable guest stars to round out the team: Emmy and BMI Award winner E.G. "Snuffy" Walden; piano and B3 wizard Reese Wynans (Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Guy); and Julie Delgado (John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson) on backing vocals, just to name just a few.

The hot sauce on this proverbial slab of soul is a sizzling solo by none other than the legendary blues harmonica genius and Grammy winner James Cotton, known as "Superharp" for his work on such classics as Muddy Waters' epochal 1960 Newport Jazz Festival version of "Got My Mojo Working."

Lookin' Up! will be available online at iTunes, Amazon, Google Music, Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody, Xbox Live and on many other music platforms and retail outlets.
