Oscar winner LOUIS GOSSETT JR has launched a one-man campaign to clean up Los Angeles' streets - by taking gang leaders to Africa.
The An Officer & A Gentleman star secretly jets members of the Crips and Bloods gangs to Africa so they can connect with their roots.
He tells Parade.com says, "The programme teaches the kids where they come from, how they used to act, how they got here, why they're so successful, the respect for the elders, the culture, the respect for the opposite sex."
