Unlike many rising R&B stars, David Lashun won a major

competition in Chicago at the Regal Theater and was placed on The Big Break show. Following this brief stint of fame, David Lashun had the opportunity to work along side Usher Raymond, Steve Hurley, Maurice Jashua, Tracey Edmond, Baby Face and Vanessa Williams.

”I was raised on the South side of Chicago,” Lashun said. “My mother and father both were ministers since I could remember. So, needless to say I’d been exposed to Gospel Music at an early age singing in the church chorus since the age of 10, later joining classical chorus in Calumet High School, never really giving music (as an Artist) a thought. I went many years not having a desire to record or perform, until I was approached by an acquaintance to join a singing group.”

Lashun has also been featured in Chicago’s B96 Summer Bash where he opened for Coolio, All for One and Michael Jackson’s nephews.


“I know with hard work and dedication I can make it in this industry,” Lashun said.
