Global Knowledge, the worldwide leader in IT and Business training, today announced the availability of Secure Wireless Administrator Training, an in-depth, lab-intensive class where students learn to set up a SonicWALL distributed wireless network to provide user mobility while maintaining secure wireless communication, provide controlled guest access, and provide hotspot capabilities.
Focusing on SonicWALL equipment installation and configuration, students will learn to configure VLAN switches, RADIUS servers, and wireless clients for a complete solution. Students will cover the complete setup of WPA2-EAP-PEAP-MS-CHAP-V2 using Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft IAS servers, and they will learn to use SonicWALL Lightweight Hotspot Messaging and the Global Management System.
The course is designed for those responsible for designing, deploying, configuring,
and maintaining SonicWALL distributed wireless equipment. Incoming students should have a basic understanding of technologies used in their environments, including networking and networking technologies and the 802.11 and RADIUS protocols. Knowledge checks and hands-on exercises are incorporated throughout, with an instructor-administered online Certified SonicWALL System Administrator certification exam at class end.
Included in the SonicWALL training course is the prerequisite Securing SonicWALL Wireless Networks, a six-hour online Self-Paced e-Learning course where students will learn about wireless technology fundamentals, including LAN communications, security risks and remediation, and wireless LAN design and architecture. The prerequisite also covers SonicWALL-specific wireless configurations, deployment scenarios, and troubleshooting techniques.
