And the musician, who is dating Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams, ha= s thanked fans for their messages of support.
He tells Kerrang! magazine, "Two weeks ago, I went to the doctor with p= neumonia. They found nodules in my thyroid and one of them was a little b= igger than a quarter. They did a biopsy and the report came back that the= re were some suspicious cells.
"I was scared in the waiting room. I read your (fans' Twitter) replies.= They gave me strength. They removed half my thyroid, but no cancer. Than= ks for your prayers."
