Getting to Know Singer and Songwriter Jimmy White, at the Top of the AC Charts

2008-05-03 23:02:09 - Adult contemporary singer and songwriter Jimmy White as been topping the AC charts since 2006, and continues to write and record more and more hits.

Ship Bottom, NJ - The songs and productions of singer, songwriter, and Adult Contemporary (AC) artist Jimmy White dominate the AC charts love and living life that his listeners identify with in their own lives.

White is able to take hold of a melody and infuse it with lyrics that tug on the heart of audiences of all ages.

'I was

inspired early in my music career by the harmonies and distinctive sounds of the music of the legendary Brian Wilson,' explained White, a self-taught pianist and composer. 'I knew from my first spin of Wilson's composition 'God Only Knows' that I was ‘home.''

His distinctive fusion of music and lyrics and their development in the recording process continue to be his trademark and his passion.

White's career as a professional songwriter began while studying at Seton Hall University, when he sold his first song to MCA music at just 19. Since then, he has published many more songs, including: 'Lost In An Endless Love With You;' 'Lover At First Sight;' 'Hanging Onto My Heart;' 'You Couldn't Hold Me Back.;' and 'You Gave Me.'

Since 2006, White's music has dominated the AC charts with number one songs like 'Change My Life' from his debut album 'One Track Heart.'

On one of his newest number one hits 'Sure Feels Like Love,' White collaborates with nationally recognized master musicians arranger and pianist Ken Kaufman, drummer Mike Caputy, bassist Jerry Livingston, guitarist Frank Grizanti, and guitarist and engineer Dave Bellanca. The credits for the above musicians include Whitney Houston, Stephannie Mills, Goo Goo Dolls, Rick James, Mikki Howard and many others.

White was nominated as 'Best New Artist' for 2006 by New Music Weekly Magazine and in 2007 he won the prestigious 'Crossover Artist of the Year' at the New Music Awards, held at the Avalon Theatre in Hollywood in November 2007.
