SnackableApps announces the release of gCloud Print V2.0. The document printing app has been enhanced to support printing of Office Documents (PPT, DOC, XLS) as well as PDFs and images from your iPhone, iPod or iPad.
gCloud Print, from independent software publisher, SnackableApps, is an app that supports printing of documents from your iOS device to any printer, anywhere via Google’s Cloudprint service. Mobile devices are great for viewing all types of documents. However, printing those documents and images remains a challenge. Not anymore. gCloud Print, initially released in March 2012, has been updated to support printing of Microsoft Office Documents and Text files in addition to the app’s original support for PDF files and images.
gCloud Print frees a users documents and images from their mobile device by creating and submitting print jobs to Google’s Cloudprint service. Users can print to printers that they have registered with Cloudprint, printers shared by family and friends, and save
print jobs directly to their Google Drive. gCloud Print supports printing via WIFI as well as cellular networks, without the limitation of being in the same location as the printer. Users can send documents to gCloud Print for printing from other apps, such as Dropbox, Email, and GoodReader, by selecting gCloud Print from the apps built in “OPEN IN” menu. For each document, the user can select which printer to send the document to, as well as change the print job settings, such as having a spreadsheet print in landscape mode.
“I would like to say your app is the best I have used keep up the good work.”
- Lyndon D, a gCloud Print user
gCloud Print is available for $0.99 in the US and is price accordingly in other regions. The app is available worldwide and supports printing to all printer makes and models, both Cloudprint ready printers, and traditional printers via a PC or Mac.
