If you want to install a new memory on your computer, first of all you need a screwdriver. Please turn off the system before memory installation process. You also should know how to open the computer and also how many RAM slots are available for upgrade.
We measured the memory in different terms but now days we usually prefer GBs which is basically contains more memory than Megabytes like memory of 1GB=1024 Megabytes.
When you open your computer you
will see 3 or 4 slots would be there, so you have to find the empty slots and then install the requisite memory in its respective slot. To fix RAM in respective slot, never force it as the memory can be damage.
Now the task of the memory installation is completed, but you also have to verify that the installed Memory is working well or not. For this you have to turn on your computer, when the computer is turning on check the system memory.
If the memory finds right, it means the installation of memory is successful otherwise memory is not installed properly.
For example if your system is running on a memory of 1GB and you added more about 2GB, the computer must show 3GB ram (in some cases it may be little less than 3 GB ram which is correct)
If the memory is not installed properly then there should be some other issues like:
• You are using SD ram instead of DDR one.
• Memory might be corrupted.
• Your computer’s memory slot is not working well.
