Free tickets are available for popular country and western artist Grant Langston on Saturday October 20th. 2012 at 8:00pm.

Grant Langston will be performing at the Top of the Notch Restaurant in Mt Baldy as part of the “Rock at the Top” series.

The Top of the Notch is located at an altitude of 7,800 feet and is arguably the most unique venue for a rock show.

Free tickets (regularly 26.00 each) include a round trip ride on the Sugar Pine Chairlift required to reach the Notch and admission to Grant Langston’s show.

Grant Langston grew up in Hartselle, Alabama on a steady diet of Hank Williams Jr., Jerry Reed, Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard and Gospel Quartets. In fact, he played bass in a gospel quartet touring around the southeast from 13-15 years old.

He moved to Los Angeles, because Nashville didn’t fit his style, and started making music.

In 2000 the first Grant Langston record appeared, All This and Pecan Pie.

He’s released 5 more including Road Side Service- 2004, (featuring a honky tonk version of Queen’s Fat Bottomed Girls), Live in Bakersfield - 2007, and Stand Up Man - 2009 (a top 25 Americana chart hit)

Grant and his band have enjoyed numerous tours of the US and Europe. They’ve opened for the likes of Wayne “The Train” Hancock, Drivin’ and Cryin’, Dale Watson, Ben Harper, Otis Taylor, Mike Stinson,

Grant’s placed many songs in TV shows and films, including most recently, HBO’s True Blood. Recently, Grant composed the score for the award winning short film, Station Zero – 2012


Mt Baldy is the closest mountain resort to most of Southern California. The parking lot is located immediately north of Upland and Claremont about 20 minutes off the 210 freeway.
