The Los Angeles Rx Card (LA Rx Card) will start providing free drug cards to the people of Los Angeles on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce was instrumental in the launch of the free discount prescription drug card program that is available to anyone living or working in Los Angeles.

LA Rx Card was launched to help uninsured

Angelinos afford their prescription medications. The program provides savings of up to 75 percent on prescription medications. The card can be used at CVS/pharmacy, Longs Drugs, Safeway, Kroger, Wal-mart, Walgreens, Target, Albertsons, K-mart, and other pharmacy chains.

This program has a "LOWEST PRICE" feature that provides cardholders with the lowest plan price on prescriptions at participating pharmacies.

Another feature of this program is that all prescriptions are confidential and no personal information is required.
