Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company’s entertainment division is broadening its appetite for music and live entertainment to insure the full range of musical artists and their specialized exposures.

The company’s appetite now includes artists and bands in all genres of the music industry. Fireman’s Fund will also be underwriting new customers such as music festivals, record labels, promoters, and talent management. In

addition, for live entertainment exposures the company will also include spectator liability. Fireman’s Fund will continue to insure concerts, theaters, shell corporations, recording studios, rental houses and event production services as part of the new unit.

To support this expansion, Fireman’s Fund entertainment business will now feature two distinct special underwriting units. The company has formed a dedicated underwriting unit specializing in live entertainment.

The second underwriting unit will continue to focus on film, television, D.I.C.E. related products, and photographers.

The entertainment division already insures 11 of the top 25 touring artists in 2009, four artists on the Billboard Top 10 album sales list, and the promoter and producer of top grossing music festivals and tours nationwide.
