Chicago, Illinois - January 3, 2013 -
Finjitsu Research, the exclusive curator of fundamental, small and mid-cap Wall
Street equity research, today announced the beta launch of its online
marketplace; this offering allows self-directed investors to add an additional
layer of sophistication to their research process by utilizing professional
investment research, from multiple publishers, in an easy to use web
application. For investors who prefer a more personal interaction, Finjitsu
Research can also provide a direct connection to Wall St. Analysts in a phone or
online-chat format.
Finjitsu Research is the first company to create a research platform for
advisors and individual investors that is focused on providing quick and easy
access to hard-to-find investment research. Historically, most large brokerage
and independent research firms have focused on providing information that
appeals to the mass market; consequently,
their coverage universes tend to be
heavily weighted towards mid and large-cap securities. Finjitsu Research has
established exclusive partnerships with regional investment banks and
independent firms who have a niche equity research footprint; these firms tend
to focus on providing fundamental research on small and mid-cap stocks, which
are covered by fewer fundamental analysts and for which timely research is
harder to find. In addition, approximately 25% of the research offering
includes coverage of popular large cap stocks.
By aggregating many of these firm's research libraries and coverage universes,
Finjitsu Research is able to provide a cost effective and robust research
offering that rivals the largest investment banks. At present, Finjitsu
provides access to a growing library of research on more than 800 individual
stocks from a variety of research firms across the country. "The growing trend
toward self-directed investing can't be overlooked," said Lee Wolf, Founder of
Finjitsu Research. "There is a very large group of intelligent, web savvy,
self-directed investors who are demanding a more sophisticated outfit of
qualitative and quantitative resources. We didn't want to be 'another research
tool' that oversimplifies complex ideas; We want to invigorate the fundamental
equity research process by being complementary to existing resources."
Access to the complete research suite is now available, and at a discounted
price during the beta launch. The Company expects to launch a full version of
the platform in the first quarter of 2013.
