The finalists of the Asian SESAMES Awards have been chosen and the winner will be revealed at 6 pm on 27 March 2013 at CARTES Asia, AsiaWorld-Expo. The Asian SESAMES Awards reward the most innovative product or application developed for the Asian Pacific market in the field of smart cards, digital security, identification, secure transactions, and contactless.
Seven companies have been selected among the 24 candidates that are competing for three award categories. The finalists are.
• Hardware category
- KB Kookmin Card with NFC PAYON (Korea)
- Vision-Box with e-pass dispenser (Portugal)
- Watchdata Technologies with SDpass-SC card (Singapore)
• Software and applications category
- HID Global with iCLASS Seos credential (Hong Kong)
- KB Kookmin Card with NFC PAYON (Korea)
- Soft Space with Soft Space Centralised EMV Platform (Malaysia)
• Card technology manufacturing, personalization category
- Crane Currency with MOTION(TM) Inlay Security Element (USA)
- HID Global with iCLASS Seos credential (Hong Kong)
- Morpho, e-Documents Division, with Quarter Sized SIM Card (Germany)
The Asian SESAMES Awards are chosen by a jury of industry experts from across Asia Pacific.
