- Minneapolis-based Pentair, Inc. (NYSE: PNR), a global leader in water filtration and treatment, will enable news media covering the Republican National Convention to tap into the Minneapolis municipal water supply during Saturday night's traditional gathering for reporters prior to the start of the convention.

Pentair is contributing five Everpure water bars throughout the reception area on the Minneapolis

riverfront for the event. If the more than 8,000 expected attendees want a drink of water, they can get premium filtered water sourced straight from the city's own system.

The water bars support a commitment that Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak and 14 other U.S. mayors made last June to encourage the use of municipal water to save money and reduce environmental impact. "Filtering tap water provides consumers with the great taste of bottled water while reducing their carbon footprint," said Michael Madsen, vice president of Pentair's Everpure business. With an Everpure filtration system, a family of four can have great-tasting water, reduce their environmental impact and save money.
