Fever win 6th straight in WNBA

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Indiana Fever defeated the New York Liberty 63-54 for a team record-tying sixth straight win in the WNBA on Saturday.
Ebony Hoffman scored 14 points, Tamika Catchings added 13 points and 11 rebounds, Tully Bevilaqua finished with 13 points and Katie Douglas scored 11 for the Fever, who also won six straight in July 2007, and lead Chicago by one game atop the Eastern Conference standings.
Essence Carson had 14 points and Shameka Christon scored 11 for the Liberty.
After trailing by 17 in the third quarter, New York pulled to 56-50 on Tiffany Jackson's three-point play with 5 minutes left. The Fever answered with Hoffman's 3-pointer to regain the momentum.
Sun 82, Dream 68
At Uncasville, Connecticut, Asjha Jones had season highs with 24 points and 12 rebounds as Connecticut won its third straight.
Erin Phillips scored 17 points, Lindsay Whalen had 14 and Kerri Gardin added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Sun.
Connecticut led by eight with 9:11 remaining before a 15-5 run secured the win. Phillips made two of her five 3-point field goals during the run.
Iziane Castro-Marques scored 16 points to lead Atlanta.
Lynx 109, Mercury 80
At Minneapolis, Candice Wiggins and Roneeka Hodges scored 22 points each, leading Minnesota past Phoenix.
Nicky Anosike and Renee Montgomery had 15 points each and Rashanda McCants added 11 for the Lynx, who scored a season high in points to win their second straight.
Cappie Pondexter and DeWanna Bonner scored 19 points each and Le'Coe Willingham had 13 for the Mercury.
Minnesota had a season-high 25 assists _ including eight by Kelly Miller _ while tying a season-low with just eight turnovers. Phoenix turned the ball over 19 times.
Sky 68, Mystics 63
At Chicago, Candice Dupree scored 23 points and Sylvia Fowles had five of her 13 at the end as Chicago got its franchise-record fourth straight home win.

Jia Perkins had 14 points and eight steals and Fowles also had 10 rebounds for the Sky.
Lindsey Harding scored 15 points, Alana Beard had 14 and Crystal Langhorne added 12 points for the Mystics.
Chicago closed with a 9-3 run as Fowles' layup with 3:04 left gave the Sky the lead for good, 61-60. Her putback with 1:49 to go stretched the advantage to 65-60.
Washington's Matee Ajavon and Perkins both hit 3s for the final margin as neither team scored in the final minute.
