2008-07-17 10:56:32 - Owner of the award winning Mom Tri's Boathouse Wine & Grill and Mom Tri's Kitchen will open a new venue directly on Kata Beach in Phuket, Thailand.

Tropical, sophisticated and yet relaxed, this latest project of M.L. Tri Devakul, better known as Mom Tri, will be launched in Phuket mid November. Kata Beach will be the scene for the ultimate in beachfront dining and drinking surrounded by a tranquil courtyard with a retail wine cellar and designer shops.

Revamped and renovated, the former Gung restaurant--neighbouring the

Boathouse directly on Kata Beach--has metamorphosed into a fresh new venue. Mediterranean fusion will be the theme at the Oasis On-the-Sea Restaurant. Tapas, beer, spirits and wine from a list of over 250 labels can be ordered from the open-air Oasis Spring bar. Wine can also be purchased from the Oasis Red + White wine shop .

Shopping will include elegant and original designs by Khun Tam Devakul, famous for her finely crafted silver jewellery and one-of-a-kind wine glasses. Sivalla, well-known for their stylish shop in The Plaza, Surin, will offer precious and authentic objects d'art from Southeast Asia and a collection of unique jewellery . The Golden Elephant souvenir shop will offer a treasure trove of top quality silk weavings, unusual handicrafts and delightful curios from all over Thailand.
