2008-08-18 11:20:06 - A Chesterfield hotel is inviting families to put on their dancing shoes and enjoy a night of family fun.

The Legacy Chesterfield Hotel, in Malkin Street, is hosting a family disco on Saturday, August 23, complete with traditional party games and buffet.

Up to 50 people are expected to attend the event - which is the first of its type at the hotel.

Kath Pearson, events manager at The Legacy Chesterfield Hotel, said: 'We've tried to establish a reputation for putting on great discos - and we thought we should try something new. We're sure it will be just as much of a success as the others.

'We wanted to hold an event that the whole family could enjoy. This is not just a disco - families can join in with party games such as pass the parcel, musical chairs, and musical

statues.'

Doors open at 7pm and a hot and cold buffet will follow at 8pm.

Tickets for the disco cost £25 for a family ticket which includes two adults and two children, or £9.95 per adult and £4.50 for under-14s.
