As part of the Best in Cloud Award 2013, Fabasoft won the Innovation Award 2013 for its hybrid cloud project "E-Box" and earned third place in the Private/Hybrid Cloud category.
A top-class jury comprising Germany's most eminent cloud experts conferred the Innovation Award 2013 on software manufacturer and cloud provider Fabasoft for its hybrid cloud project "E-Box". "We are very proud to have won the Innovation Award 2013”, explains Andreas Dangl, Managing Director of Fabasoft Cloud GmbH. "The award clearly proves and rewards the fact that our cloud is a byword for extremely secure and reliable cooperation between our customers and their business partners." Fabasoft donated the €5000 prize money to the German Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (DBSV),
thus underscoring the firm’s commitment to developing universally accessible cloud computing services.
In addition to Fabasoft's success in the special "Innovation Award" category, it also secured third place in the "Private/Hybrid Cloud" category and won the Best in Cloud Award 2013. This year, Computerwoche paid tribute to cloud projects in the categories "Public Cloud", "Private/Hybrid Cloud" and "Cloud Enabling Infrastructure". Following Fabasoft’s recent win of the EuroCloud Europe Award 2013, this marks the firm's second award for its cloud solutions in a matter of days.
The "E-Box" of the Austrian "3 Banken Group" composed of Oberbank, BKS Bank and BTV is based on Fabasoft Cloud's well-engineered and proven functionality and quality in terms of the secure management of information and documents. Some 2600 bank employees exchange data and documents with over 100,000 customers. Using a single sign-on, bank customers can authenticate themselves via their netbanking login and bank employees via their corporate account, thereby gaining access to E-Box with high banking security standards.
The main advantage of the hybrid architecture is that bank documents are stored exclusively in the banks' own computer centers. As Fabasoft operates data centers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, customers can choose the geographical location at which their data and documents are actually stored. The same architecture is also used in the hybrid model, which ensures that the bank data physically remains in 3 Banken EDV's data centers without being accessed externally and that the banks can meet their diligence and compliance duties. Bank customers benefit from modern extra services, clear and comprehensible information, direct communication with their account managers and simple processing of banking transactions. At the same time, banks enjoy a short implementation time and low investment costs. www.fabasoft.de : cts.businesswire.com/ct/CT?id=smartlink&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww ..
