The eZ Systems Western Europe office in Lyon has served many countries since early 2006: France, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland (French-speaking), Luxembourg, Portugal, and southern Europe. It started with Roland Benedetti as Managing Director and two employees: Bertrand Dunogier and Nicolas Pastorino. Today, eZ Systems Western Europe is the strongest region for eZ, as eZ Publish maintains

a top position in the content management market. The video at the bottom of this article showcases eZ's presence with diverse companies and in diverse locations in Western Europe.

The combination of a true Open Source model and the backing of a professional vendor provides flexibility and security for eZ users and customers. The demand continues to grow, with more customers and partners making use of eZ's expert consultants and support engineers. As a result, eZ Systems is expanding by hiring new employees and opening a new office in Paris this fall. As with most of eZ's offices, the goals of the Parisian office are to deliver training, support, and maintenance services, and also to assist eZ Partners by providing expert consulting.

UK, Spain, Italy and Belgium are already vibrant market for eZ and we expect a significant development in those regions. eZ is already present there from the Lyon and Paris offices, and a London based presence will be operational from the beginning of 2009. It would not be a surprise to see new offices opening outside of France in 2009.
