2009-11-01 17:35:54 - ExNoRa’s Environmental Training Institute’s latest initiative “ExNoRa Environmental Training Program for Teachers” will be inaugurated on 4th November, Wednesday 2009 at D.G.Vaishnav College from 9 a.m. onwards and as its first endeavour is organizing a massive training program namely “ExNoRa Environmental Training Program” for School teachers on the same day for more than 100 participants.

ExNoRa’s Environmental Training Institute’s latest initiative “ExNoRa Environmental Training Program for Teachers” will be inaugurated on 4th November, Wednesday 2009 at D. G. Vaishnav College from 9 a.m. onwards and as its first endeavour is organizing a massive training program namely “ExNoRa Environmental Training Program” for School teachers on the same day for more than 100 participants.

This programme aims to

create awareness on a wide range of topics from global crisis of Climate Change to local problem of insanitation and unhygienic neighborhoods. The training sessions are handled by the best resource persons in our nation.

The issue of environment has occupied centre stage in global and local arena. There is a need to nurture green warriors who will spread the message of protection to the masses through right knowledge, attitude and practice on a range of subjects from global issues of climate change to local issues of insanitation and unhygienic practices and the teachers would be the principal target group. The teachers attending the training programme will receive the ‘Certified Associate – ExNoRa Environmental Training Institute’ or CEETI certificate.

The training programme is designed to be learner friendly and motivational in nature. Method demonstration would be adopted as the main mode of teaching. Experts in different fields with hands-on experience would address various environmental issues. The course material includes a training CD and participants will be allowed to visit model projects.

Highlights of the benefits of the training programme are as follows

1. Teachers return empowered and armed with insight and knowledge about various environmental issues. They will become Environment Ambassadors

2. They will be provided with a Certificate, “CEETI” authorising them to take training. Certified-associate ExNoRa Environmental Training Institute.

3. Motivation to transform their respective schools and the location of the schools into a clean green environmental paradise. They will continuously get the honourary guidance support from local the ExNoRa Chapters.

4. ExNoRa and its 300 Knowledge Satellite organisations will continuously provide guidance to the schools in introducing ExNoRa’s successful concepts like Zero Solid and Liquid Wastes Management, Carbon Neutral School Campus , Rain Water Harvesting , School Farming , Terrace Air Conditioning Lawn and Tree Planting with the school getting located in a sTREEt & not street purely on honorary basis.

5. ExNoRa will help the School in tackling the civic issues in the school area.

6. The students via the teachers will realize enviro-friendly home and work together to achieve a green School Campus. The Students can do internship in ExNoRa during vacation

7. The students guided by ExNoRa have won several prestigious awards in the National and International environmental competitions. Your schools students can approach ExNoRa in present and future for guidance and support. The School can work and transform the School to get ExNoRa’s Green School Award.

8. The certified teachers (CEETI) can attend monthly environmental knowledge updating meetings free of cost. Their names will be included in the ExNoRa e mailing list to update them.

9. The Teachers are welcome to join Teachers’ ExNoRa for continuous development to become full-fledged Environmentalists
