Southampton, PA., USA, October 8, 2012 - Environmental Tectonics Corporation's
("ETC" or the "Company") Simulation Division, located in Orlando, FL, has
been
awarded a contract from the United States Air Force Europe (USAFE) to deliver an
Advanced Disaster Management Simulator (ADMS(TM)).
The portable ADMS-Airbase training system will be delivered to USAFE at Ramstein
Air Base in Germany for use in emergency management and disaster response
training. ADMS-Airbase provides realistic training with an authentic military
base environment that includes hangers, residential areas, runways and military
specific aircraft including C-130, F-15, F-16, B-52, A-10 and Cougar. The ADMS-
Airbase system will be used to train and prepare emergency responders and
incident commanders for a variety of incidents including aircraft accidents,
mass casualty situations, road traffic accidents, structural and wildland fires,
terrorism and protestors. The training simulator will also be used by USAFE to
train for specific chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive
(CBRNE) incidents.
USAFE chose a portable system to allow both on-base training and deployment to
off-site locations. The ADMS-Airbase system features ETC's Signature Simulation
Technology including the SmartModel(TM) library, which enhances exercise
development and creativity by allowing unlimited scenario capabilities.
SmartModel library objects and elements, such as aircraft or dirty bombs, can be
added to any scenario to create additional challenges for the trainees.
"ADMS-Airbase is a highly realistic training system designed to prepare military
facilities for situations that are nearly impossible to train for," said Marco
van Wijngaarden, President of ETC Simulation. "We are very pleased that we were
selected by USAFE. The network of DoD users is growing which allows for the
sharing of exercise scenarios and best practices within the user community."
About ADMS
ADMS(TM) is a high-fidelity Virtual Reality Simulation Training Platform that
comprises multiple products including Incident Command training from technical
to strategic level (ADMS-Command), emergency response and force protection
specific to a military environment (ADMS-Airbase), driver training and vehicle
operation (ADMS-ARFF and ADMS-Drive) and multiple level police coordination for
crowd management and riot control (ADMS-Control). ETC's signature True
Simulation Technology blends physics-based simulation, embedded artificial
intelligence, accurate animations, photo-realistic graphics, ambient sounds,
vehicle controls, and motion platforms to totally immerse trainees in the
exercise. ADMS enables first responders and emergency managers to prepare at
all levels of response in a safe, economical and environmentally-conscious
way.
